Please browse the site for information about our history and current activities.
The Chilwell Memorial Hall and Institute is a non-profit registered Charity
The Chilwell Memorial Hall and Institute was created to commemorate those who lost their lives in the Great War. It was opened in December 1924 for the purposes of assembly, social and recreational activities for local residents.
The Hall and Institute offers a number of clubs and activities, some with a membership subscription to join and use. The Institute has a multi-functional Hall with additional rooms and facilities, and large outdoor grassed space. This space, to the rear of the Hall, has been used to support activities for 97 years. Focused on lawn tennis for many years as well as, more recently, walking netball.
