The Chilwell Memorial Hall and Institute is a non-profit registered Charity
The Chilwell Memorial Hall and Institute was created to commemorate those who lost their lives in the Great War. It was opened in December 1924 for the purposes of assembly, social and recreational activities for local residents.
The Hall and Institute offers a number of clubs and activities, some with a membership subscription to join and use. The Institute has a multi-functional Hall with additional rooms and facilities, and large outdoor grassed space. This space, to the rear of the Hall, has been used to support activities for 97 years. Focused on lawn tennis for many years as well as, more recently, walking netball.

We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty the Queen who faithfully served the nation during her seventy year reign. We wish to express our heartfelt sympathy to the Royal Family from the members of CMI.
Charles Hanson, of Antiques Roadtrip and Bargain Hunt, and members of his team will return on Saturday 1st October at 2.30 – 5.30. Everyone is welcome to bring along their treasures. 2024 is our Centenary Year and we would like to undertake more capital improvements so that our community can benefit even further from this unique and cherished Institution. Obviously the scope of what can be achieved depends upon the outcome of funding bids and possible crowd funding. Get involved!
