General

CMI are proud to open their Centenary Room, which is at the heart of our 100th year celebration. In a joint funded project with Broxtowe Borough Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Nottinghamshire County Council’s Local Communities Fund, CMI has been able to open a second bookable space for community activities, classes, events and meetings.

Room Hire

The Room has its own entrance from the side of the building, which is well lit during evening periods. It has direct access to the ladies and gents toilets and contains its own small kitchen facilities. As part of the construction we have installed high-level sound insulation, so the Hall activities do not significantly affect the Room’s use.

The Room is designed to accommodate various activities. These can be seated at tables in a cabaret style; general rowed seating in a lecture style; or as open carpeted area for floor activities. Below is a suggestion of ideas with recommended numbers.

  • Art and design classes for 24 people seated at tables;
  • History or Technology networking presentation for 30 guests; and
  • Small yoga class for 10 clients.
